Financial Statement Analysis FINA 6110 (Online)
Description:
Please submit the following:
• A memo-style write up of your valuation (maximum 1 pages). The value should be stated in a per-share basis. Brevity is highly
valued. • An Appendix that contains any other explanations that support
your valuation. • All spreadsheets that show your calculations using methodologies
that we cover in this class. Please justify your per-share value
of this company.
Please refer to Week6-Chapter7.xls for example. You have to at least have the following:
• 3 years of pro-forma financial statements (please see Appendix N to Appendix S for example. Please note that the Excel example
has 5 years of pro-forma.) • 4 types of valuation methods:
o Appendix T has Discounted Cash Flow o Appendix U has Residual Earnings Analysis
o Appendix V has Earnings Growth Analysis o Appendix F has Book-Value-Per-Share ratio that we can use
for valuation also • A separate worksheet of your valuations which includes Weighted
Average Cost of Capital calculation and the weight for each
valuation method. Please refer to Appendix F. • Analysis on the number of shares for the pro-forma. You can just
assume the numbers to be constant. Please refer to Appendix J, K, and L for example.
The submitted documents have to be in Microsoft Word or Excel
format so I can view them.
Please refer to the syllabus on how to obtain Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) if you do not have Microsoft Office.
Note: All submitted documents should be handed in using Assignment
Drop Box in Blackboard. No documents should be sent to the instructor using Mail or external e-mail. Please follow the following convention
when you submit your documents:
Lastname_Firstname_ProjectPart#_DocumentName For example: Johnson_Michael_ProjectPart1_Memo

To submit your responses (as an attachment):
1. Click the “Project Part 3 Dropbox” link.
2. Scroll down to the “Attach File” section and choose “Browse
My Computer”.
3. Locate your assignment file from the saved location on your
computer.
4. Double click on the file and you will see your attachment.
5. Important: Be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and click: “Submit”
You can find your graded results in your online Gradebook (My
Grades). I typically have all assignments graded within 1 week
after the assignment due date.
