After reviewing the lesson and the videos, consider the role of the media in modern politics. Create an essay-type response using the questions below as a guide. You will need to use outside sources, do research, and include works cited.
How do you get your news? How often do you “tune in” to the news, whether it is on TV, radio, or other media/device?
What bias does your preferred media source have? All media have some bias… how do you ensure your information is reputable, factual, and accurate?
What is the difference between “fake” news, inaccurate news, and unfavorable news? (This is an important question!!! Spend time on it.)
What can you do to become more informed about politics?
Explain the role of the media in the technology era? What are the benefits and pitfalls?
How has social media affected political polarization in our country?
