You may narrate your PowerPoint, as if you are reading your work at a conference on your paper’s topic.

Essay #2 Format

You have 3 options from which you can select to write your essay. Regardless of the option you select, you MUST cite all resources appropriately using MLA 8th edition formatting. For information on how to cite, visit Purdue’s MLA Formatting and Style Guide.

You will be required to send your essay to the Brainfuse Writing Lab before submitting your final draft. You must submit the Brainfuse feedback report along with your final draft in the Assignments dropbox as separate files. Keep in mind that Brainfuse may take up to 48 hours to respond to you. Therefore, plan accordingly. You must make a significant effort to reconsider and revise your approach to your essay based on the feedback you receive from the Brainfuse tutor.

To access Brainfuse, click the Resources dropdown menu on the navigation bar.

Choose one of the following ways to construct your work. Both of the options require you to include a formally written academic thesis statement to establish the purpose and direction of your work.

  1. 600-word academic essay (2 pages, double-spaced).
  2. 500-word academic essay and 10-slide PowerPoint or Prezi (with 100 words of writing and appropriate images). You may narrate your PowerPoint, as if you are reading your work at a conference on your paper’s topic.
