My topic for forum discussion is as follows:
What rights would you give up to form some kind of government? What right or possession would you absolutely refuse to give up, even if a “lawful” government demanded that you give up that right?

Posts should be 100-300 words each. The following points are what I look for in your initial posts to the Discussion Board, and then in your replies to others’ postings.
1. Mentions specific points from the article or reading and answers the question.
2. Relates information in article or reading to personal experience when asked.
3. Discussion at a critical level, not just recitation of facts from the article or reading.
4. Citations from article, chapter, reading, or video where appropriate.

Note: Discussion at a critical level when making comments to other students’ work means discussing things in such a way that you explain why you hold your opinion, what you see wrong (or right) with the point mentioned, how you see the point consistent/inconsistent with what you have learned so far, implications for the future, consistencies/inconsistencies within the article or reading itself, and so forth. In other words, commenting on others’ post means analyzing the good and/or bad aspects of the post and your analysis.
