W-3. Part one:Describe how you have seen any of the trends discussed in Chapter Four applied in your workplace and if communication or employee morale was improved.  If you haven’t seen any of these applied, then describe which one would most improve communication or morale in your workplace and why.  If you aren’t currently employed, describe which of the trends you would most want to see a potential employer use/offer/require and why.

Part two: Post on the Discussion Board- describe a time when you were on a team, committee, or in a group and there was a problem such as you couldn’t:

·  reach your goals

·  get anything accomplished in meetings

·  reach a consensus

·  get all members to do their share of the work or participate

C-7. Go to http://www.cyborlink.com/ .  Pick a country and post a summary of what you would need to do differently to conduct business there than the U.S. Everyone should pick a different country so no posts will be duplicates.  Pick a post of another student whose country’s etiquette and manners are similar and another that is very different. Add a thread to their post indicating the similarities/differences of doing business in the two countries.  You should add a thread to two other students’ posts.

Then pick another student’s post and using the material in Chapter 8, suggest a way their situation could have been handled producing better results.

C-14. 1. List four key items you would include in your answer to this interview question, “How would you describe yourself in 15 seconds?”  Remember these items should make your interviewer realize that you would be an asset to the organization and make them want to ask you further questions.

2. Indicate the hardest or the most unusual interview question you have ever been asked.

3. After viewing all of the interview questions posted, indicate which question you think is the most difficult to answer and which is the most unusual.

C-9. Describe ways you have seen social media used by businesses and organizations to connect with customers.

Why do you think the advertisements included in the margins of social media sites aren’t producing customer sales?
