Simon introduces the following theories: 1) Advocacy Coalition Framework, 2) Constructivist Approach, 3) Institutional Analysis and Development Framework, 4) Multiple Streams Theory, 5) Narrative Policy Framework, 6) Policy Diffusion Model, and 7) Punctuated Equilibrium.

DO NOT USE MULTIPLE STREAMS THEORY TO ANSWER EITHER QUESTION.
PICK BETWEEN THE OTHER 6 THEORIES.

Question 1 (10 points):
Select any TWO theories (except multiple streams) from the theories mentioned in Simon’s book and explain what each theory is about. Your discussion of each theory is approximately 300 words and is 5 points.
300 words per Theory – 5 points for each theory- remember to use two.
(Make sure to look over the power point presentations policies first and then over each theory before you start picking and writing on the theories you chose, as you will need to match chosen theories to the power point presentations policies for question number two.)

REMEMBER- DO NOT USE MULTIPLE STREAM THEORY

Question 2 (10 points):
Apply the two theories from question one, to the two power point presentations policies presented by your classmates (excluding your policy). Your application of each theory is approximately 300 words and is 5 points.
300 words per power point presentation.
5 points each.

REMEMBER- A Max of 300 words per section-4 sections all together- 1200 words total.
