Project Background

We are a group of college students who run a startup company called Precision Planning. Precision Planning is an event planning/coordinating company that seeks to take on large scale projects such as shows, concerts, and parties. We take care of all the planning from the smallest details all the way up to finishing touches. Every year, we take on one large project, and have found success each time. For this upcoming summer, we found an opportunity in the organic food market industry for restaurants. We recognize that there are often issues with medium to high brow restaurants finding the right food products from the right place in a manner that will build a positive relationship with the supplier and customer. By offering this food show it provides an opportunity for both restaurant suppliers and restaurants themselves to explore the different options available to them in offering the best possible food to restaurant goers. Suppliers have a chance to brand themselves by displaying their products at different stands at our food show. This offers suppliers to get their name out to different restaurants in which they otherwise would not have interacted with. Our company seeks to organize a food show event where restaurant owners, managers, and chefs can attend an organized food show with stands from different suppliers. We chose to make the focus of the food show to be on organic food because of its increasing popularity and beneficial factors. This event will draw outside sponsors and will be advertised to all restaurants in the respective region through different advertising and marketing tactics. Our company serves to bring suppliers and customers together in ways that would not have been possible without our efforts. Our end goal is for local restaurants and suppliers to reach cost and quality efficiencies by having a chance to see what each supplier has to offer and hopefully develop a long lasting relationship with them. After the initial food show launch we plan to hold similar launches in other regions until we ultimately become a full scale nationwide company. We see very little downside to this because every restaurant seeks to set themselves apart from others around them. This food show will draw plenty of attendees because of this reason.
