Statistics;: Report and Discussion of Findings

Statistics;: Report and Discussion of Findings
This chapter is where you present the data you have collected and where you interpret it with reference to the participants and previous research (cited in your literature review). It is the biggest part of the dissertation and can, if you wish, be organised into two chapters (report of findings and discussion of findings)

• Start by referring back to the research aims.

• Provide a detailed explanation of the results, highlighting the major findings (if any) clarify them and tell how they relate to your study. You will present findings using graphs and charts in a way that highlights their significance. You will quote individuals and groups and draw out their ‘voice’.

• Analyse the findings and offer possible interpretations and explanations as to why the results were as found.

• Refer back to the literature review making connections between your findings and the issues raised within the literature review.

• Include unanticipated, surprising and inconvenient findings.
