you will submit an Annotated Bibliography (of the analytical type, also known as the critical type) of eight sources formatted in the 8th edition of MLA style. Length of annotations is to be 100-200 words each. State in the annotations how the source is to be used in the paper. The submission should be carefully edited and proofread for standard use of English.

Required Research: Eight academic sources are required, four for each writer; at least two of the four should be scholarly articles from UMUC’s library’s databases. Two online resources can be included, but they must have been vetted for credibility. In your description of the source, you will explain how you vetted the source. To help you do this, see the UMUC Library’s guidance on “Is My Source Credible?”: http://sites.umuc.edu/library/libhow/credibility.cfm

Dictionaries and encyclopedias do not count as academic research for this project.  A relevant YouTube clip may be included as one of the Internet sources (which has been vetted for credibility).

The literature itself (primary sources) is not to be included as part of the annotated bibliography. All the sources must be secondary sources.

General assistance with annotated bibliographies and MLA citations can be found on the UMUC website at the below links.
