  • “’Let’s Take a Closer Look’: Writing Analytically” Chapter 9 in Everyone’s an Author  (137-169, 1st Ed; Chapter 13, 201-239; 2nd Ed). Notice the four methods  given for analysis: rhetorical, process, causal, and data.

2. Research.

  • Find an article, discussion,  photograph, song, video game, or advertisement online that intrigues  you. This can be on anything you have an interest in, including sports,  fashion, politics, games, music, etc.

3. Respond.

Write 200-250 words on your article, discussion, photograph, or advertisement using either a rhetorical, process, causal, or data analysis. Remember to link or attach what you are analyzing so your classmates can see.
